Principal - Dr. Payne

I am so excited to be the principal here at Welcome this year!

I come to Davidson County with over ten years of school leadership experience. I earned my elementary education degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was both a kindergarten and fifth grade teacher. I was then a Northeast Leadership Fellow at North Carolina State University where I earned my master’s degree in K-12 school administration. Most recently I received my educational doctorate from East Carolina University in Educational Leadership.

I know that Welcome is a special school and I look forward to building strong relationships with the community to support our learners.
