Class Expectations

We have high expectations of our students and their behavior while they are at school.  We will consistently review these expectations with the children.  We expect them to show respect to one another, adults , and school property.  We also expect our students to work together in our classroom as a team.  We are together for several hours during the day and we have learn to work together, treat one another fairly, and get along with one another.

The class will discuss behavior on the first day of school and establish our classroom rules.  We will be using Class Dojo for our behavior system.  Students can earn points for good behavior, for working hard, good group work, and for going above and beyond what is expected.  Students will also lose Dojo points for breaking class rules, off task behavior, etc..

For every Dojo point the students will earn a Dojo Dollar to in turn be exchanged for classroom rewards and to be used for our class auction at the end of each 9 weeks.  If you would like to donate anything for our auction it would be greatly appreciated (Dollar Tree has some great items).

Please make sure to check dojo regularly.  This is where we will send reminders and other  important messages.

Office referrals will be made as necessary if behaviors are persistent or severe.  We will not let behaviors interfere with our learning.
